How to Configure Fortigate in Eve-ng

 

The way of how to add a secure picture to Eve-ng and use the web interface to access it is as follow

Eve-ng Fortinet Image Download

Fortinet-FGT-v5-build1484 is the filename.

FGT VM64 KVM-v5-build1484-FORTINET.out.kvm.zip is the current version.

To upload a eve ng fortigate, create a Fortinet folder using the command mkdir /opt/unetlab/addons/qemu/fortinet-FGT-v5-build1484.

Upload the Fortinet image that was downloaded to EVE-ng.

Upload the image to the Fortinet folder that was already established in the stage before. Use any method to upload or copy the image to the location. For example, to upload the image to the following path

/opt/unetlab/addons/qemu/fortinet-FGT-v5-build1484/

From the EVE go to the newly created folder by typing cd /opt/unetlab/addons/qemu/fortinet-FGT-v5-build1484/.

Unzip the file using the following command: FGT VM64 KVM-v5-build1484-FORTINET.out.kvm.zip

Change the name of the original file to virtioa.qcow2, then delete the original zip file.

FGT VM64 KVM-v5-build1449-FORTINET.out.kvm.zip mv fortios.qcow2 virtioa.qcow2.

Use /opt/unetlab/wrappers/unl wrapper -a fix permissions to repair the permissions.

Now The Fortinet Fortigate will be available after you navigate to Eve-ng and add node. Fortigate Firewall's standard login credentials are as follows: without a password.

The first configuration:

System interface: FortiGate-VM64-KVM. Making a Fortinet Folder so that Fortinet images may be added to EVE-NG. According to the photo naming desk, we must now establish a picture folder with the prefix fortinet- before adding the image to it.EVE-ng should now include the Fortinet image you downloaded.Add the image to the Fortinet folder we generated before.

File Path: fortinet-FGT-v5/decide/unetlab/addons/qemu

Navigate to the newly created picture folder using the EVE cli.

Cd to /decide/netlabel/addons/qemu/fortinet-FGT-v5/ and unzip FGT VM64 KVM-v5-build1484-FORTINET.out.kvm.zip using a special filename.

Rename a Special File. We must remove the unique zip file and rename the file to virtioa.qcow2.

FGT VM64 KVM-v5-build1449-FORTINET.out.kvm.zip mv fortios.qcow2 virtioa.qcow2.
