How to combine Eve-ng and Cisco ASAv

Switches and routers let you practice using L3 devices while still keeping their features and capabilities. CCIE routing and switching practice uses Cisco IOU/IOL images, which were initially given for testing and architectural purposes. Eve-ng, which lets you import the image and access it via the GUI, is one of the best emulators for experimenting with Cisco IOU/IOL images. By setting up your own lab, you can practice as much as you want.

If you want to practice Cisco ASA for your certification or understanding, look below:

To add the Cisco IOS Dynamic Images to Eve-ng we shall discover the hardware itself, an instruction manual, a power cord, a CD-ROM with software, and RJ45 and DB-9 serial cables when we open the Fortigate packaging. A device may have some or all of the following characteristics when a license is obtained:

Software upgrades and hardware support are included with FortiCare.

The bundle of this license includes UTM features like antivirus, Web filtering, IPS, and anti-spam.

To use particular features, purchase one or more separate licenses.

We can enable or disable whatever cisco iol images download function we want to use based on our needs.Any Fortigate device has the option to work in NAT/Routing or transparent mode.

NAT/Routing Mode: In this mode, a fortigate device functions as a Layer 3 device that can route traffic and acts as a bridge between various networks. Devices made by Fortigate run in this mode by default.

Every fortigate practice labs interface is connected to the same network in transparent mode, which serves as a bridge between various network segments. How to configure both modes is covered is there.

To register with Fortigate:

After your fortigate device has undergone a basic installation, you must register it with Fortigate in order to receive all future updates for it and to enable the features included with your fortigate unit license.
